Bishop M.A. Outland, Sr. is the fifth child of ten children. He attended the Marlin School district and graduated in 1979. The day after graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He also attended Paul Quinn College. He accepted his calling to the ministry at the age of 15, preaching his first message on April 20, 1975. In 1983 Michael became an ordained Minister. Reverend Outland met Evelyn Brown and was married on August 1, 1981. He has five lovely children, they are: Michael, Jr. (Jodi), Chellani, Destiny (Michael), Mikal, and MiChaelya Outland. He is also the proud grandfather of five beautiful grandchildren.
In June of 1993, he was given the vision to start and Pastor the Christian Tabernacle Holiness Church located at 1516 Maple Avenue in Waco Texas. In 2001 the church named was changed to Greater Christian Tabernacle Church. In 2004, Pastor Outland opened the new sanitary, after a year of construction. In November 2005, Pastor M. A. Outland, Sr. was ordained as Bishop by Bishop Billy Sanders of Houston, Texas.
Bishop Outland is the founder and organizer of the Love and Unity International All Denominational Christian Association. Bishop Outland is currently the State Bishop for the Northwest Texas Region of the All Nations Pentecostal Churches of God Christ in Jesus Name of Apostolic Faith.
Bishop Outland was employed at the Waco Walmart as an Assistant Manager for a several years and spent the last 21 year of his employment career working for AutoZone as their Store Manager until a stroke on December 30, 2015 caused him to retired.
Although still recovering, Bishop Outland entered into the role of Overseer and remains active with the church and all organizations.
